There is a memorial on the parkway that is surrounded by crab apple trees that are stunning in the spring. In the summer there are lovely flowers blooming by the memorial.

There are lovely walking/biking trails along Victory Memorial. The trails are part of what's known as Grand Rounds, 50.1 miles of trails that wind around the lakes and parks in Minneapolis. When we have visitors from out of town, they are many times amazed to see the lovely parks where you feel like you're far away from the city rather than in the middle of it.

Your parks are beautiful! Alan and I were just talking about the parks in your state and wondering who pays the upkeep on them. Some of the famous parks in Ohio have been sold by the state to private organizations because the state cannot take care of them any more. It is so sad because the groups they sold them to are naturalists and they will just let them grow up in weeds.
WOW! Crabapples? No matter the name, these trees are really showing off:)
